Cassidy-Davies Electrical was founded by two Kiwi mates – Tim from Christchurch and Dylan from Auckland. After decades working on high profile projects together they decided to put their expertise to the best possible use and start one of Christchurch’s top electrical companies. We have 25 years combined experience in providing both commercial and residential electrical services and all our trained electricians are fully qualified, highly experienced, and hand-picked by us. We service the wider Christchurch area, our home, and we plan on sticking around for the long haul. We were voted the most trusted electricians in NZ in 2024, so you can count on us to do the job right!

Dylan began his electrical career in 2003 in Auckland. Never being one to shy away from a challenge he took an opportunity in 2010 to move south to be involved in the Christchurch Airport project & further develop his commercial construction skills. This is where he first met his mate & soon to be business partner Tim. After working together on numerous large scale projects they put their heads together & Cassidy-Davies Electrical was born. They set about building the foundations of the business around core values of pride, commitment & honesty with a focus on customer satisfaction & delivering a high standard electrical product. Hi, I’m Dan and I’m fresh into the Electrical Industry as an apprentice with Cassidy-Davies Electrical. My working career has been quite varied to say the least: out of school I went into the fitting, turning and tool-making industry. Following the 2011 Christchurch earthquake, the workshop shut down and I moved to the construction sector, completing EQC repairs to high end architectural builds. In 2018 my career took an unexpected turn as I went full throttle into the Turbocharger industry. However, my goal was to gain recognition as a qualified tradie, this is where I soon found myself sitting at a table with Dylan and Tim, talking about their values and company environment, thinking this is who I am. A week later I was standing with the rest of the team for the Monday meeting, ready to get stuck in and haven’t looked back from the decision since – eager to tackle the challenges that are ahead. Outside work you’ll find me spending quality time with family, outdoor adventures, odd gaming session with my daughter, completing house renos and tinkering with my car project
Apprentice Electrician
Hi I’m Abbe, I began my career in the electrical industry at the start of 2022. I soon started after completing my pre trade and doing some work experience for Cassidy-Davies over the summer. I wanted a hands on career that continually challenged me and offered opportunities to improve on my skills. Working alongside the boys at Cassidy-Davies has given me just that; with the wide variety of work and knowledge they offer, I’m enjoying every moment of it. When I’m not working I’ll be doing weekend roadies with my mates or staying fit, whether it be snowboarding or going on hikes. Excited to see what the future has installed with the CDE team.
