Well – it’s 2025 now, and this demands reflection on what we want to achieve in the year ahead.
Marketing coordinator Aimee asked directors Dylan and Tim some questions about their plans for 2025.
Read the Q&A below to find out what the two had to say about their plans for Cassidy-Davies Electrical this year!
-
What is something exciting that you have got planned for this year?
We are doing a strategy team this year, so we can get everyone involved in making the business better. This will make it feel more like a team.
-
What are some ways that you want to improve the company in 2025?
This year we need to work on making tradesmen and project managers more efficient. We aim to use the “traffic light” system to find weaknesses in staff and help them upskill; standardise workflows so staff all do things the same way in the same order and refine this to the best way; more site planning and walkthroughs by PMs to improve the pre-job process; and post job reviews with staff to find inefficiencies.
-
What are some things you want to do more of this year?
We want to do more commercial solar projects this year. It’s a growing area, and we’re keen to help businesses save on power bills.
-
What lessons did you learn in 2024, and how will you apply these in 2025?
In 2024, I learned that clear communication and practical tools are key to boosting team efficiency and avoiding costly mistakes. In 2025, I’ll focus on equipping tradesmen and site managers with streamlined processes and proper training to improve margins on every job. We’ll also focus on improving communication, such as writing down clear guidelines on how to do things both in the field and in the office.
-
What are the biggest challenges you expect to encounter in 2025?
The biggest challenge will be managing tight margins and keeping jobs profitable while the economy stays tough. We’ll need to stay on top of efficiency and make sure we’re pricing and planning jobs right.
-
What’s the best way for other businesses to work with you or support what you’re doing?
The best way is to reach out early so we can work together on planning and make sure we get everything right from the start. We’re all about good communication and building long-term relationships that benefit everyone.
-
How can people stay up to date with what you’re doing?
People can stay up to date by following us on social media (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn), where we share updates, projects, and news about what we’re working on. They can also check out our website for more info and to get in touch.
