At Cassidy-Davies Electrical, culture isn’t about ticking a box or throwing a few beers in the fridge – it’s about the way we work, celebrate, and have each other’s backs. From the job site to the office, and even after hours, the vibe within our team is something we’re genuinely proud of.
It’s hard to describe unless you’ve been part of it, so we asked our team how they’d explain the culture here to someone thinking about joining us. Their answers?

We Make Time for the Important Stuff
We’re busy – like, genuinely busy – but we don’t use that as an excuse to let people fall through the cracks. One of the ways we stay connected is through our regular “20s” – weekly, short, 20-minute one-on-one check-ins with your supervisor or manager.
It’s your space to talk about whatever’s going on – work goals, site issues, training needs, or even just life outside the tools. Sometimes it’s casual, sometimes it’s goal-driven, but it’s always about making sure you’ve got support and direction.

We Learn Together, Not Just Work Together
We’re big fans of Team Alignment Days and have been running one each year for the last four in a row! We deep-dive into DiSC profiling and emotional culture – exploring how different personalities work under pressure, how we communicate, and how our emotions shape the way we lead and support each other.
It’s one of those rare days where the laughs are loud, the lightbulb moments real, and the buy-in? Genuine. It reminds us that building a great business isn’t just about getting the job done – it’s about understanding the people who help you do it.

We Celebrate the Wins
Whether it’s a shoutout in the team chat, a cheeky social post, or breakfast with the bosses, we’re big on recognising effort. Our bi-monthly KPI Champions score themselves a feed at Park Ranger with Tim and Dylan – because consistency, hard work, and hitting your goals deserves more than just a pat on the back.
We wrap up the year with our famous awards – some coveted, others (like Least Likely to Answer the Phone) more of a laugh than a point of pride…
We Don’t Just Work Together – We Genuinely Get On
Our Social Club isn’t just a token gesture – it’s where the real chaos happens (in the best way). Over the past year alone we’ve jumped on the beer cycle, cheered at a Crusaders game, tested our skills at bowling, axe throwing, clay shooting, and even an escape room. We’ve bashed into each other in bubble soccer, raced around Supa Karts, and rounded it all out with a night of laughs (and flying food) at teppanyaki.
No matter the activity, the constant is the same: plenty of banter, plenty of laughs, and a team that genuinely enjoys spending time together – on and off the tools.
We Bring Everyone Along for the Ride
Some of our most iconic events happen when we bring the whole Cassidy-Davies community together – not just the staff, but the families, clients, and suppliers who support us behind the scenes.
The CDE Birthday Party is a chance to let our hair down (well, those of us who have hair…), kick back, and celebrate another big year with the people who help make it all possible – staff, clients, families and suppliers are all included.
The legendary CDE Olympics are our unique way of wrapping up the year, with friendly competition, way too much laughter, and a few questionable outfits.
Our Family Christmas BBQ is a classic – with so many long-term crew, their kids have basically grown up with it! Sunshine, treats, backyard chaos, and Santa delivering the goods on the back of a CDE ute (every kid gets a personalised gift, no pressure big guy!)
These traditions don’t happen by accident – they’re built from years of genuine connection and a team that truly cares.
